Darrell joined JWT in February 2014 with over 20 years of communications experience.
Responsible for the strategic leadership of Tim Hortons, one of Canada’s most beloved and highly respected brands, Darrell took little time diving into the rich history of Tims and embraced the challenge of taking the brand to the next level.
Darrell is known for his passion and energy, and has continued to define his core responsibility to be the brand itself. His understanding of the power of consumer insight has been a critical driver of his quest for great ideas that have the strength to carry a brand beyond a simple campaign. In today's world, Darrell has an incredible sense of how collaboration works to drive a brand forward and is always ready to roll up his sleeves.
Darrell has built his reputation working with an outstanding roster of clients including Molson Coors, Unilever, Nestlé, the Chartered Accountants of Canada and the Ontario Government, to name a few. Having spent time at MacLaren McCann and Ogilvy & Mather, he entered the world of telecom with Bell Mobility, working client side for several years. But he moved back to his first love, advertising, where Darrell began to broaden his experience in beverage alcohol at Ammirati Puris with Labatt followed by running the Molson Coors business at DraftFCB.
One of Darrell’s proudest accomplishments is helping to get Coors Light to the number one brand position in Canada.
